Kong Computers Terms & Conditions

In these terms and conditions (Terms), “we” “us” and “our” refers to Kong Computers Pty Ltd. A reference to "you", "your" or "purchaser/s" means a user of this Website who may also purchase products using this Website. Your access to and use of all information on the Website as well as the purchase of our product/s is provided pursuant to the Terms and Conditions which apply to all users of the Website, and by using the Website and purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Consumer Guarantees

All goods sold in Australia come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Refunds and Returns

We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind or purchased the wrong product. We recommend that you check the system requirements to ensure the purchased product/s are compatible with your system. 

However you can choose a refund or exchange if an item has a major problem.

This is when the item:

    - Has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying the item if they had known about it

    - Is unsafe

    - Is significantly different from the picture or product description

    - Doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can’t easily be fixed

You must provide proof of purchase when returning any products.

This information doesn’t limit the scope of your rights or our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law. More information about Australian Consumer Law is available on the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission website http://www.accc.gov.au

Kong Computers reserves the right to apply a restocking fee of up to 15% of the purchase price on goods that we agree can be returned to us. If this is allowed by us, do not open the products boxing. We cannot provide returns for opened products.

We do not take responsibility for any goods damaged or lost in transit when the customer sends the product back to us for warranty or return. The manufacturer’s warranty may be void if the product is damaged in transit. Please ensure the product is packed appropriately for shipping before sending it back to us. If you are unsure about how to pack a product appropriately for shipping please contact us on support@kongcomputers.com

The consumer is responsible for any charges associated with returning items to Kong Computers. Charges may be reimbursed from Kong Computers to the consumer where the consumer is entitled at law to have those charges reimbursed to them.

Applying for Warranty and Product Returns

All products sold on this website come with a manufacturer's warranty, and you should carefully review the details of the manufacturer's warranty to ensure that you comply with the terms and conditions of same. Kong Computers accepts no responsibility for non-compliance with the manufacturer's warranty.

If you find that any product has a fault, please contact us immediately via email 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on support@kongcomputers.com, alternatively you can call Kong Computers on 1300 159 272 between Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm AEST. (Public holidays excluded)

We will let you know if you have to contact the manufacturer directly, and if so, please make sure that you obtain a reference number during your contact with the manufacturer so we can quote that reference number if we need to follow up on your repair with the manufacturer. 

Please check the computer before you load any personal software. A refund or return will not occur if we discover that the fault is software related not from the original software that was pre-installed on your computer (full charges including delivery may occur).

Pricing Policy

All of our prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST (Goods and Services Tax). Product prices are regularly updated when price changes are received from our suppliers. All transactions are processed in AUD.

Payment for Orders

Payment options include PayPal & Direct Bank Deposit.

Products bought on our website will only be shipped once full payment has been received by us.

Shipping and Delivery Policy

Kong Computers will provide free tracking of your parcel. All Laptop orders are insured delivery and must be signed for on delivery, so please provide an appropriate delivery address. We cannot ship to PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers because we need a signature on delivery and insurance would be void if delivered to a PO Box or Parcel Locker. PayPal stipulates that PayPal payment orders must be delivered to the registered address on your Paypal account. So please make sure that your Paypal address matches the requested delivery address. If no-one is available to sign for the parcel when delivered, then a consignment note will be left at the address and it is up to the customer to contact the courier service to arrange an alternate pickup time. Some items can be left at your local Post Office for collection at your convenience with photo ID, (this depends on the courier service).

We aim to deliver all products within 1-2 days to most areas in Australia (overnight to most major cities). Some distant areas can take 3-7 days to deliver your package depending on location and limitations of our third party couriers. Some heavy and bulky items like Desktop Computers may take longer to deliver if your destination is in WA, NT or Far North Queensland. Your package will be shipped once the full payment of your purchase has been received by us.

Shipping costs are influenced by the size and weight of the product/s and your location. You can see the cost of postage by entering your delivery postcode into the freight calculator which can be found on the individual product pages, shopping cart and checkout pages. The cost of shipping per item drops as more items are placed into the shopping cart, as we calculate the combined size and weight of all products in your order. If for any reason we are unable to dispatch your order, we will notify you within 2 days.

Computers are shipped directly to you via the distributor/manufacturer in Australia and we offer free shipping for all Computers. Some computers are customisable and require building and testing by the manufacturer before shipping, there can be a period of up to 5 business days before your computer is shipped. Please refer to the items product page for details of manufacturers shipping times.

If you buy a computer with extra peripherals then you will only be charged for postage of the peripherals (as we offer free shipping for computers) and the delivery of the peripherals will be made separately.

Parcel Protection

If your parcel does not arrive within the specified time frame and there has been no activity on the tracking schedule for 4 days then contact us and we will begin to track your parcel down. If the courier company confirms that they cannot locate the parcel or provide us with proof of delivery then we will ship your order again.

If your parcel is damaged in transit then do not sign for the parcel. Instead of signing the scanner, write “Damaged” instead of your signature. Please photograph the damaged parcel and email the photo to us at support@kongcomputers.com within 2 business days to verify that the damage occurred while in transit.

Do not open the products boxing. We cannot provide returns for opened products.

Once we receive the damaged product back we will ship a replacement at no extra cost. If we cannot replace the item then we will provide you with a full refund.

Order Cancellation Due To Error or Unavailability

Where a product has been listed at the incorrect price or with incorrect descriptive information or image due to typographical error or similar genuine mistake, we reserve the right to cancel the relevant transaction and offer the product to you again at the correct price and/or with the correct information. If your bank account has been charged, we will immediately refund your payment for the total amount debited. Where a product is out of stock or is temporarily unavailable, we will endeavour to dispatch the product as soon as practical after we receive it from our distributors. Where a product becomes permanently unavailable, we will cancel the relevant order and will immediately refund you for the total amount debited. We will attempt to contact you to let you know before this is to occur.

Kong Computers respects your privacy.

All personal information is used to ensure efficient processing of your order. This information is used by our staff for contacting and identifying customers and their needs. We will not give, sell, rent, or loan any identifiable personal information to any third party, unless we are legally required to do so.


Unsolicited, "spam" mail is not sent to Kong Computers customers. The only email customers will receive, are updates to their recent or past orders, updates to company policy, and possibly occasional promotions in the future.

Your Personal Information Is Secure

We use the industry standard security protocol Secure pay to encode sensitive information like your credit card number that passes between you and Kong Computers. We employ the latest 128-bit encryption technology in all areas of the site which require you to provide your personal or account information. This means that the credit card information you send is encrypted by your computer, and then decrypted again on our side, preventing others from accessing your private information in between. 


Our site's registration form requires users to give us contact information (like their name and email address). The customer's contact information is used to contact the visitor in the event of a problem when processing an order. For example, confirmation of delivery address, product availability, etc.

Our site uses an order form for customers to request information, products and services. We collect customer's contact information (e.g. their email address). The customer’s personal details are used to contact the customer when necessary, e.g. customer enquiry replies, in the event there is a problem processing an order, corporate changes, or changes in privacy practices. Financial information that is collected is used to bill the customer for products and services. This website takes every precaution to protect our users information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line.
